In Gailan’s Special Job, readers will spend time with Gailan, a little brown gerbil who lives in Hong Kong with a family of incredible animals, all brought to life with colourful and adorable illustrations.

Gailan lives high up in a hillside apartment looking down on Victoria harbour with many brothers and sisters. A big dog, a fluffy cat, a slithery snake, a sing-song bird, a colourful fish, and his favourite human in the world, a little girl named Mia. Every animal has a special job that is unique to them, but what can a little brown gerbil do? The answer will warm the heart of every young reader.
